Stine Bidstrup: The Studio - Model after a Psychoanalysis of Luftkraft Glass Studio, 2016. Film (27 mins.) and large glass model of the floor plan of the premises where the collaborative glass studio Luftkraft is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The exhibition ‘Luftkraft’ opens on Sunday June 18th, 2017, at 4 pm at Grønbechs Gaard. It will be a chance to revisit the works that were first shown at Glasmuseet Ebeltoft in winter 2016 as part of the museum’s Mapping Denmark series.
For the exhibition, we have decided to map Luftkraft.
Our address on Islands Brygge in Copenhagen has housed a glass studio for more than 20 years, and numerous glass artists, designers and makers have come through for shorter or longer periods of time to be part of a community. Luftkraft is the third studio to occupy the space, and we have approached the idea of the studio from five different points of view; as the relations between its inhabitants, as sounds, as a network, as an architectural configuration and as its own creative, mental being.
The exhibtion runs until August 22nd, 2017. All are welcome!

This weekend June 9-11 Stine Bidstrup will be showing with New York City based Heller Gallery at WheatonArts 2017 Glassweekend.
The exhibition GROW shows works that take as point of departure the biodiversity in nature, biology, and the political, economic, philosophical and social aspects linked to nature and human relation to nature.
Stine Bidstrup will be showing a new body of work along side Camilla Berner, Maria Bojsen, Nicolai Howalt, Silas Inoue, Maria Koshenkova, Karen Lise Krabbe, Lisbeth Nielsen Lyrstrand, John Olsen & Pernille Pontoppidan Pedersen.
Opening Saturday May 20th, 2017 from 2-5 pm at HUSET in Asnæs, Denmark. The exhibition runs until June 11th, 2017.
Stine Bidstrup is one of the artists in the upcoming exhibition GREAT DANES: Danish Glass – from modern factory design to contemporary art at Hempel's Glass Museum in Denmark. The exhibition is on loan from Glazenhuis - Flemish Centre for Contemporary Glass Art where it was on view in 2016.
Bidstrup is participating with five glass sculptures from the series Architectural Glass Fantasies. The exhibition is on view from next Saturday April 29th, 2017 until Sept. 30th, 2017.

We are very proud and excited to present our first museum exhibit as the group Luftkraft Glass Studio.
After more than a year’s worth of creating new works from a shared set of ideas, the exhibition Mapping Denmark II – Luftkraft opens on Friday October 7th, 2016, at 5 pm at Glasmuseet Ebeltoft. It represents the second edition in a series of exhibits that the museum is staging to showcase the width and depth of the current glass scene around the country.

On Thursday morning, June 9th 2016 at 8.30-10.00 am Stine Bidstrup will be doing a demonstration of her work at the Corning Museum of Glass (Hot shop A) for the first day of the Glass Art Society’s annual conference.

New Glass Review 2016 has "Some Chaos" by Stine Bidstrup in it.
On February 3rd, 2016 from 3-6 pm, LYNfabrikken in Aarhus will host a book launch of their new publication on all the projects that have been exhibited at their gallery space from 2009-2015. In 2012, Stine Bidstrup created the work “Rupert’s Chaos” for this space.

Stine Bidstrup’s Works Included in Museum Collections During 2015:
In the Spring of 2015, the work Bifurcations (2015) became part of the permanent collection at the Finnish Glass Museum in Riihimäki, Finland, after the closing of the juried exhibition The European Glass Experience, held at The Finnish Glass Museum and Museo del Vetro in Murano, Venice, Italy.
Two sculptures from the series Studies in Search of Order and Chaos (2015) went into the permanent collection at the Chazen Museum of Art in Madison, Wisconsin, US.
In the Fall 2015, the Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen, Denmark, acquired a work from the series Studies in Search of Order and Chaos (2012) for their permanent collection. This piece will go on view in March 2016 as part of the exhibition Danish Design Now.
During the juried exhibition The Process – European Glass Prize at the Glazenhuis in Lommel, Belgium, the Ernsting Stiftung based in Coesfeld, Germany, acquired two pieces entitled Looking for My True North (2015) for the Glass Museum Alter Hof Herding. These will also go on view in the coming year in an exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the museum.
To Present Was Has Already Past is on view at the 7th Floor Gallery in the George L. Mosse Humanities building at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Stine Bidstrup is a Visiting Artist at Southern Illinois University next week. Artist talk will be on Tuesday, Feb 17 at 6 pm. Come by if you're in the neighborhood.
